Finally, I've made it to Australia!!
It has been a long day and I am almost about to pass out from lack of sleep, but its also been a very fun day and I can't wait to see more. Leighton picked me up at the Sydney airport this morning, (Sydney time) with only a little confusion. Luckily the Sydney airport has free Wi-Fi so I was able to text him and figure out where we should meet.
We than went to Jacinta's house where we will be living for the next few weeks. It is a small cozy place in Frenchs Forest which is a very pretty suburb of Sydney. It is far enough away from the heart of Sydney that we get some piece and quiet, but close enough that we can still catch a quick train into the city. We are going to try to get a MyMulti pass tomorrow which will let us have access to all the public transportation in down town Sydney.
We picked up Alina from the airport at around 4pm today and so we now have a party of three to explore this wonderful city. Alina is from Germany and is a friend of Leighton's from one of his WWOOF jobs in Jandabyne. After we picked her up we drove down to Dee Why beach which is fairly close to where we will be living. It was a nice brown sand cove with quite a few people enjoying the sunshine. The water was a little cold today, but at the same time refreshing after an eighteen hour flight. Unfortunately I got a little sun burn on my left arm so I will have to make doubly sure to apply sun screen tomorrow. Now its time to get some sleep so I will be well rested for tomorrows adventures.
